Climate Change
Climate change is a more prevalent issue in today's society than ever before. You really can't deny the effects it's having anymore as they are becoming more obvious and a part everyday life. Summers are hotter and seem to creep into fall more than they used to. Storms are becoming more powerful and frequent. Not to mention the cities, like Miami and New Orleans, which are going to be facing issues with the rising sea levels. If things don't get better many people will be displaced and at danger from the rising heat levels.
The progression of climate change can't be stopped by just one group of people, everyone needs to get better/cleaner habits and companies need to be held to stricter standards when it comes to CO2 emissions and pollution. Companies are the biggest polluters by far, with mass production being more prevalent than ever, companies emit a majority of the CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. It seems like things are going to get worse before they get better.
A solution to these issues would be to change our lifestyles and put stricter regulations on these pollution companies. Make sure that the regulations have actual legal repercussions, if it's just a fine, they'll pay it and continue to pollute. Individuals could try to make sure they're recycling, carpooling when they can, and trying to preserve energy and water. Individuals can also possibly look into solar energy for their homes and electric vehicle as their main transportation.
