The First Week of School

The First Week of School

Since I am a freshman, this first week of school has been very different from what I experience in high school. It was way more laid back than I initially thought based on how my teachers in high school had talked about it. I prefer the approach of most of my professors, they teach and then let you handle the rest. It gives me a stronger sense of responsibility to get the work done and what I need to do for the next class. Classes seem to be a lot more relaxed and easy-going than my high school classes.

I enjoy the actual campus itself a lot too, the free time given in between some of my courses lines up nicely with my friends, so it gives us time to talk during the day. The classes themselves are pretty big, just packed with students. The Student Union and Library building is good for the time in between spaced-out classes. Overall I enjoy the sense of freedom that's given on campus and how it feels independent compared to high school. It makes you feel like your transitioning into adulthood.

I believe that I will, hopefully, enjoy campus/college life and that it'll be a good stepping stone into my adult life and the career and goals I have set ahead for myself. I hope this will be a good growth and learning experience for me. I am hopeful on the future of my college career.
